Every Capenza character is named after a corner of Brighton, and Preston came first. He's on our coming-soon page, he was on our first cap, and if you're in Preston Park early on a Sunday you've probably already seen him roll past.
Who is Preston?
Preston was the first of us. He's the one on the coming-soon page, rolling in on his board, and the one on the front of our first cap.
He lives on the edge of Preston Park and treats it like his own front room: laps of the cycle track before the joggers arrive, a coffee at the Rotunda, then back home before anyone's properly awake.
He likes his clothes the way he likes his weekends: easy, worn in and the same every time.

Preston Park, his way
Preston Park is one of Brighton's biggest green spaces, a long stretch of grass at the top of town where the London Road comes in. On a Sunday morning it's at its best: dog walkers, park runners and Preston, before most of the city is up.
The Rotunda
The round café in the middle of the park, and the start of every Preston Sunday. Flat white, bench outside, board resting against his leg.
The rose garden
Formal gardens with a fountain at the London Road end of the park. Quiet, sheltered and lovely in summer.
The Rockery
Across the road from the park, a rock garden of paths, ponds and waterfalls that most visitors walk straight past.
The cycle track
The velodrome at the north end of the park is one of the oldest cycle tracks in the country. Preston does his laps here early, before the bikes arrive.
Preston Manor
The old manor house beside the park, now a museum, and a reminder the park was once its grounds.
What Preston wears
