How it works
Pick a Custom Text Cap (19 colours) or Custom Text Beanie (12 colours), type your text in the box on the product page (up to 20 characters) and add it to your basket. We embroider it on the front in our Brighton studio. Because each one is made just for you, personalised pieces can't be returned unless they're faulty, so check the spelling before you order.
Short and simple
- Initials: J.W., or three letters like JMW.
- A first name or nickname: the name they actually get called.
- A surname: classic on the front of a cap.
Places
- Their town or postcode area: BRIGHTON, HOVE, BN1.
- Coordinates or a street name of somewhere that matters to them.
- A holiday spot for a souvenir that doesn't look like one.
Dates and numbers
- A year: when they were born, met or got married (EST. 2019).
- A team number, house number or favourite number.
- Their age: put the big number on a Custom Text Cap or Custom Text Beanie for a birthday they will actually wear.
Groups and occasions
- Stag and hen parties: the group name, the date or the destination.
- Teams and clubs: the club name or initials.
- Weddings: BRIDE, GROOM, the new surname or the date.
- Small businesses: your name, with a matching set for the team.
In-jokes
The best personalised gifts are the ones only you two understand. A catchphrase, a pet's name or a word that always makes them laugh. Keep it short: fewer letters stitch bigger and read better.
Tips for good embroidery
- Shorter is bolder. The fewer the letters, the bigger they can be.
- Pick contrast. Light thread on a dark cap, or dark on a light one, stands out most.
- Order early for Christmas. Everything is embroidered to order, so give yourself time before the big day.
